A 14-year-old girl with symptoms of novel coronavirus died in the isolation ward of Sylhet Shahid Shamsuddin Ahmed District Hospital on Tuesday.

"After suffering from fever, cold, cough and breathing problems for last 15 days badly, she got admitted to the hospital today. The girl had been suffering from the same problems for years," said Sylhet Civil Surgeon Dr Premananda Mondol.

"Her death is not from coronavirus. She will be buried normally. And sample of the girl will not be sent to IEDCR for test," the civil surgeon added.
