Free ambulance service for Covid-19 patients
The ambulances will be used for carrying Covid-19 patients and dead bodies in Narayanganj for free of cost
Narayanganj-based Modele De Capital Group has introduced a free ambulance service for Covid-19 patients.
On behalf of the group, its Managing Director Masuduzzaman, Chief Executive Officer Samsul Haque Ripon inaugurated the service at Narayanganj Press Club on Wednesday.
Other officials of the group including Chief Administrative Officer Arup Kumar Saha and Director General (Development) Monir Hosen, among others, were also present there.

Arup Kumar Saha said ambulance shortage is putting people in Narayanganj, one of the hotspots of Covid-19 infection, in enormous hassle. Therefore, the group has introduced the free ambulance service as part of its corporate social responsibility.
The ambulances will reach patients immediately upon receiving phone calls to the hotlines. Narayanganj City Corporation ward councilors will supervise the service so that none can misuse the transportation.
Modele De Capital Group has been providing the poor with food and cash supports since the virus outbreak. It gave Tk5 crore cash assistance to apparel workers devasted by the virus fallout.
On top of this, the company continues donatingpersonal protective equipment and other protective items to medical personnel at both public and private hospitals.
