Dinajpur confirms youngest coronavirus patient in Bangladesh

An 18-months-old baby boy has been tested positive with the novel coronavirus in Dinajpur. 

With this, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in the district rises to 11. 

The district's Civil Surgeon Dr Abdul Kuddus confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

Father and mother of the baby are coronavirus patients. His samples were sent to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for coronavirus testing with his parents' samples last week. His test results came late. 

His whole family is staying in home quarantine from last few days. 

Earlier of the day, a 20-month-old child has tested positive with the novel coronavirus in Lakshmipur's Ramganj Kasim Nagar. 

Bangladesh today confirmed seven more deaths from the novel coronavirus and 312 new cases of infection after testing 2,634 samples in last 24 hours.

With this, the death toll from the deadly virus rises to 91 and the number of total infected person stands at 2,456.
