Covid infections rising sharply: DGHS
The Directorate General of Health Services yesterday expressed its worry over the rising infections, deaths and positivity rate across the country.
The Covid-19 situation turned alarming as the numbers of cases and deaths and the test positivity rate are rising at a fast pace, said DGHS spokesperson Dr Nazmul Islam.
To curb the spread of the pandemic and check deaths, the testing programme which the government sped up in recent days must continue, he added.
