A moderate earthquake measuring magnitude 4.9 on the Richter scale jolted parts of Bangladesh around 12:56am today (2 December), with noticeable tremors felt in Chattogram and nearby areas.
According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the epicentre was located 81 kilometres east of Falam in Myanmar.
No casualties have been reported so far.
