Air force flight brings back 70 jobless Bangladeshis from the Maldives
A C-130B transport aircraft transported the 70 jobless expatriates from the Maldives to Dhaka
A Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) flight has brought back 70 Bangladeshi expatriates from the Maldives who became unemployed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
A press released issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations on Monday said a C-130B transport aircraft of the BAF returned to Bangladesh from the Maldives on Sunday.
The mission consisting of a 19 BAF air crew was led by Air Commodore MA Awal Hossain.

In compliance with the policies published by the government, the BAF is conducting various activities under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to prevent coronavirus.
In line with this, a C-130B transport aircraft transported the 70 jobless expatriates from the Maldives to Dhaka. All these expatriate Bangladeshi people were living legally in the Maldives.
It has been possible to bring them back to the country at the request of the expatriate Bangladeshi people and with the earnest support of the Maldives government.
Those migrants who are not infected with Covid-19 returned to Bangladesh from the Maldives after being confirmed by proper medical check-up.
The aircraft left Dhaka for the Maldives on Saturday with souvenir items and 11 Bangladeshi doctors serving in the Maldives on emergency basis in this current situation created due to Covid-19 pandemic.
