IPDC-OGROJ recollects Geeteara Safiya Choudhury's gallant steps in the world of advertising

IPDC Finance Limited, the first private financial institution of Bangladesh established in 1981, conducted the third episode of 'OGROJ.' The event aired live on IPDC's official Facebook page and YouTube channel and presented a series of anecdotes from Geeteara Safiya Choudhury's life, which played an instrumental role in modernizing the advertising industry of post-independent Bangladesh. 
 
During the live episode, Geeteara Safiya Choudhury shared the unconventional pursuits that have paved the way for women in marketing professions with Host, Anis A. Khan, Senior Banker (Retired).
 
Ms. Choudhury entered the world of advertising in 1972, leaving spectators spellbound with her creativity and sheer inquisitiveness. A stellar personality in the world of advertising, She founded Adcomm Limited in 1974, bringing myriad imaginations to life in the form of advertising.

Her successful leadership in a fast-paced male-dominant industry has made Adcomm one of the finest advertising agencies of the country. Today, she is recognized as one of the leading women entrepreneurs of the world by several international platforms. 
 
Speaking about the show, Mominul Islam, the Managing Director, and CEO, IPDC Finance Limited, said, "Geeteara Safiya Choudhury is undoubtedly one of the top entrepreneurs in the country. Her incredibly bold move to start her advertising agency in the seventies makes her a muse for many beginners in this field. Through Ogroj, IPDC intends to initiate a digital memoir on such narratives and looks forward to creating a dialogue about their accounts and inspiring the audience."

'Ogroj' is a webinar series broadcasted live from the official IPDC Facebook page, every first and third Thursday of the month. The episodes highlight both the professional and personal peaks and valleys of the guests' lives, with renowned host, Anis A Khan, a well-known banker who retired recently after serving the industry for nearly four decades. Distinctive icons from diverse sectors such as Finance, Economics, Business, Art, Culture, Education and Media is seen flipping through the pages of their lives on the show. The recorded versions will be available on the IPDC Facebook Page, and IPDC Official YouTube channel.
