Feni road crash kills five, injures 10
The identities of the deceased could not be confirmed immediately
Five people were killed and 10 others injured in a collision between a pickup van and a covered van on Dhaka-Chattogram Highway in Feni tonight (17 February).
Officer-in-Charge of Mohipal Highway Model Police Station Harunur Rashid said the accident occurred near Hafezia madrasah area around 7pm, leaving five people dead on the spot and 10 others injured.
The identities of the deceased could not be known yet.

A highway police officer said some 14 to 15 construction workers boarding the pickup van were going to Dhaka from Chattogram.
The speeding covered van crashed into the pickup van from the opposite direction, resulting in the casualties, he said.
The injured were taken to Feni Sadar Hospital, he said.
Traffic on the busy highway remained disrupted until the police cleared the accident-damaged vehicles.
