Teenager crushed under truck in Sylhet

A teenaged bicycle rider was crushed under the wheels of a speeding truck at Shahporan on the outskirt of the city on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Tuhin Ahmed, 17, a resident of Surma Gate of Shahporan thana area. The mishap occurred at around 7-45 pm in front of Shahporan Land Office on Sylhet-Tamabil highway.
Police said that a reckless truck rammed Tuhin's bicycle in front of Shahporan Land Office on the Sylhet-Tamabil highway, causing him to fall by the side of the road. Local people rescued him and took him to the Sylhet Osmani Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
