Tasnim Jara declares Tk7 lakh annual income in country, husband earns Tk65 lakh abroad

Independent candidate for Dhaka-9 constituency and former leader of the National Citizen Party (NCP) Tasnim Jara has declared an annual income of over Tk7 lakh in Bangladesh, along with overseas earnings in British pounds, according to her election affidavit.
According to the affidavit submitted with her nomination papers to the returning officer, Tasnim Jara earns Tk7,13,597 annually from her profession as a doctor in Bangladesh.
In addition, she has declared overseas income of 3,200 pounds (equivalent to Tk5.27 lakh), while her husband Khaled Saifullah has an annual foreign income of 39,800 pounds (equivalent to Tk65.5 lakh), according to the affidavit published on the Election Commission's website.
The affidavit states that Tasnim Jara's total assets amount to Tk19,13,509, and she paid Tk34,057 in income tax.
Her annual income from employment is listed as Tk7,13,333. She has minimal bank savings, with Tk264 shown as bank deposits.
The declaration further notes that she has no pending cases, loans, liabilities, or government dues. She owns no house, flat, agricultural land, or non-agricultural land.
Her declared jewellery is worth Tk2.5 lakh. Cash holdings include Tk16 lakh and 2,270 pounds, while Tk10,019 is deposited in her personal bank account.
Her husband, Khaled Saifullah, has declared cash holdings of Tk15 lakh and 6,000 pounds.
Tasnim Jara is a medical doctor by profession, while her husband is an entrepreneur and researcher. She is a resident of Chowdhury Para in Khilgaon, Dhaka.
The former NCP leader was born on 7 October 1994 and holds an MSc degree. Her mother's name is Amena Akhtar Dewan, and her father is Fakhrul Hasan.
