Tarique Rahman greets Muslim Ummah on holy Shab-e-Qadr

BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has extended his greetings to the Muslims of Bangladesh and elsewhere across the world on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Qadr, also known as Lailatul Qadr (the Night of Decree), to be observed tomorrow (27 March).
The BNP acting chairman, on his verified Facebook page, today (26 March) greeted the Muslim community of Bangladesh and the world and wished them continued happiness, peace and prosperity.
The first verse of the holy Quran was revealed to Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) on this holy night to be observed across the country tomorrow.
The Muslim devotees will pass the night offering special prayers, reciting the holy Quran, holding zikr and other religious rituals, seeking blessings of the almighty Allah for long life, peace and progress for themselves, their families, relatives and friends as well as the nation and the Muslim Ummah.
"Lailat-ul-Qadr is a luminous and glorious night . . . the significance of this night is immense. The holy book Al-Quran was revealed on this night of the month of Ramadan," he said.
Tarique Rahman said this holy book was sent as a guide of light for mankind and Almighty Allah's command to guide people to the path of truth, justice and goodness has been announced in the holy Quran.
He said, "During the month of Ramadan, Muslim devotees train themselves to make their lives pure and beautiful through month-long fasting and attain perfection through the infinite mercy of Allah on the night of Shab-e-Qadr."
The BNP acting chairman sought welfare of the country and the people, the progress and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.
