‘Sheikh Hasina has no interest in amassing wealth’
Mustafa Kamal said that Sheikh Hasina has become an acclaimed and exemplary statesman in world politics

Terming Sheikh Hasina as a 'world leader', Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal on Saturday said that the prime minister has no fascination for amassing wealth.
The finance minister made the comment at a discussion meeting in the National Museum on the occasion of Sheikh Hasina's 73rd birthday, said a press release from the ministry.
Mustafa Kamal said, "The 'architect of development' Sheikh Hasina has no fascination for amassing wealth. But she does have a fascination for working on behalf of underprivileged people and for building Bangabandhu's Sonar Bangla to move the country forward."
To narrate the contributions of the prime minister in the development of Bangladeh, Mustafa Kamal said that Sheikh Hasina has become an acclaimed and exemplary statesman in world politics.
He said, UNICEF has awarded Sheikh Hasina with the 'Champion of Skill Development for Youth' award for her outstanding contribution to skill development of youths.
"The prime minister (Sheikh Hasina) is being treated like US president Donald Trump, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe. We would have lost if the prime minister had not returned to the country (Bangladesh)", the minister said.
Sheikh Rasel Jatiyo Shishu-Kishore Parishad's founding chairman Rakibur Rahman presided over the meeting.
Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology, MP Mahmud Us Samad Chowdhury, Jamaluddin Ahmed, general secretary of Bangladesh Economic Association and also chairman of Janata Bank, among others, were present at the event.
