Army chief calls on CA Yunus, briefs on steps taken to ensure security, stability ahead of Eid
Chief Adviser Yunus praised the army's role and professionalism and provided necessary guidance for future activities

General Waker-uz-Zaman, the chief of army staff of Bangladesh Army, paid a courtesy call on Chief Adviser Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna today (30 March) to inform him about the steps taken by the army to ensure the overall security of the country during Eid-ul-Fitr.
During the meeting, the army chief informed the chief adviser about the measures that include ensuring safe services at launch terminals, train stations, and bus terminals, as well as ensuring uninterrupted traffic flow on all roads, according to a media statement.
The army chief also briefed the chief adviser on efforts to mediate issues between factory owners and workers in industrial zones, and the ongoing activities of the army.

Additionally, General Waker updated the chief adviser about organising iftars and prayers at all cantonments in honour of the July Uprising injured.
He also informed about the financial assistance being provided by the Bangladesh Army to the families of the injured and martyred soldiers.
At the end of the meeting, the army chief also extended his advance Eid greetings to the chief adviser.
