Sharjah-bound Biman flight returns to Dhaka over fuel imbalance
Earlier on the same day, another Biman flight, a Dash-8 aircraft from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka via Saidpur, also faced a technical problem.

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight enroute to Sharjah via Chattogram was returned to Dhaka mid-air due to a technical glitch yesterday (19 July) night over fuel imbalance.
Biman's General Manager ABM Rawsan Kabir told The Business Standard that the Boeing 737 flight departed from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 8:15pm for Chattogram.
As per schedule, it was supposed to pick up passengers in Chattogram and then head to Sharjah, UAE.
"After taking off from Chattogram, the pilot detected a technical issue, fuel imbalance, and informed the control tower. The flight safely landed back in Dhaka at 10:10pm," he added.
According to him, the flight took off again an hour later and reached Sharjah on schedule.
Earlier on the same day, another Biman flight, a Dash-8 aircraft from Cox's Bazar to Dhaka via Saidpur, also faced a technical problem.
As a precaution, the pilot diverted and returned directly to Dhaka, skipping the Saidpur stop.
