Security measures, Eid preparation satisfactory: Adviser Jahangir
For security purposes, a significant number of Ansar members have been deployed across Eid markets, alongside police personnel, he says

Security arrangements and overall preparations ahead of Eid al-Adha are satisfactory, Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury said today (4 June).
"For security purposes, a significant number of Ansar members have been deployed across Eid markets, alongside police personnel. Leaseholders have also set up control rooms at the markets," he told the reporters after inspecting a cattle market near the North Shahjahanpur Maitree Sangha Club in the capital this afternoon.
The adviser noted that strict health checks are in place to prevent sick animals from entering the markets.
"Medical teams are on standby to provide treatment if any buyer or seller falls ill or is injured," he said, assuring that overall management is satisfactory ahead of the religious festival.
Addressing the issue of cattle prices, Jahangir said, "We want fair pricing so that both farmers and buyers benefit. If prices fall too low, farmers suffer; if prices rise too high, consumers are burdened. A balanced price protects everyone's interests."
Responding to a question, the adviser said each sacrificial animal truck will display banners indicating its designated market.
"Strict instructions have been issued to take action against anyone attempting to disrupt this system," he added.
