Salahuddin Alamgir donates to 300 mosques in Sakhipur
Renowned industrialist and philanthropist Salahuddin Alamgir has provided financial assistance to 300 mosques in Sakhipur upazila of Tangail as part of his ongoing efforts to support religious institutions and social welfare initiatives.
The donation ceremony was held on Saturday afternoon at the P M Pilot Model Government School and College premises. The event was presided over by Sheikh Md Habib, founding president of Sakhipur Upazila BNP and a freedom fighter. Mahmudul Alam Monir, deputy managing director of Labib Group, attended as the special guest.
Speaking as the chief guest, Salahuddin Alamgir said, "Being able to do something for the benefit of others brings me the greatest joy. Working for the welfare of humanity is equal to Ibadat. Every individual in society should do something good from their position."
Speakers at the event said that Salahuddin Alamgir's initiative would help strengthen religious and humanitarian values in society. They emphasised the importance of investing in educational institutions and supporting students to foster development in Sakhipur and nurture the next generation.
Salahuddin Alamgir has long contributed to society through scholarships, support for underprivileged students and assistance to various educational institutions, playing an active role in building an educated and enlightened community.
