Reflective Teens (RT) celebrated the launch of Paharer Golpo, their latest publication, yesterday (24 September) at Kennedy Hall of EMK Centre in Gulshan-2, Dhaka.

The book is a collection of stories that beautifully showcase the rich cultural narratives of Bangladesh's ethnic communities, according to a press release.

The event began with a speech from Yusuf, the founder and executive director of Reflective Teens.

"This book aims to bridge the gap between ethnic communities and the rest of the country. Given the current situation in the Chittagong Hill Tracts, promoting harmony and understanding is more important than ever," Yusuf remarked.

The chief guest, famed writer and cartoonist Ahsan Habib, applauded the Reflective Teens team for their dedication to amplifying ethnic voices. He described the initiative as a crucial step towards preserving and promoting their stories, which are often overlooked.

Saima Afsara, an emerging leader at EMK Centre, also expressed her admiration for the project, saying, "This initiative is a remarkable effort to bring the stories of ethnic communities into the spotlight. Reflective Teens has done a wonderful job, and I'm glad EMK Centre could be part of this journey."

The EMK Centre has been a key supporter of Paharer Golpo, playing a vital role in the book's development. Their partnership ensured the stories could reach a broader audience, promoting cultural understanding and appreciation.

Reflective Teens, known for empowering under-resourced communities, sees Paharer Golpo as part of their mission to spread awareness of ethnic heritage.

The book is a testament to their commitment to inclusivity and cultural preservation.
