Rain likely over parts of country

Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted rain or thundershowers may occur at one or two locations over Rangpur and Khulna divisions, while weather is expected to remain mostly dry with temporary partly cloudy skies in other areas of the country for the next 24 hours, starting from 9am.
"Rain/thundershower is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur and Khulna divisions, while weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country," it said.
A trough of westerly low pressure extends over West Bengal and the surrounding areas, while the seasonal low is located over the South Bay.
Light to moderate fog may occur in places across the country during late night to early morning.
Night and day temperature may rise slightly over the country.
Country's highest temperature on Monday was recorded at 33.5 degrees Celsius in Rangamati, while the lowest temperature today was 12.8 degrees Celsius in Rajarhat, Rangpur devison.
The sun sets at 05:55pm today and rises at 06:29am tomorrow in the capital.
