Vested quarter attempting to undermine democracy through anarchy: Moyeen Khan
During his speech, Moyeen said that their struggle is not over yet.

BNP Standing Committee member Abdul Moyeen Khan has warned that a malicious group is actively working to create chaos in the country in an attempt to derail democracy.
Referring to recent political violence in Gopalganj, the BNP leader urged citizens to remain alert and vigilant.
"There are evil forces continuously attempting to create anarchy in various ways. We must all be cautious. Vested quarter is trying to destroy democracy by orchestrating unrest," Moyeen said today (18 July) while speaking at a memorial discussion and rally in remembrance of the martyrs of the historic July-August uprising.
The event was held at Momen Khan Square in Paachdona, Narsingdi, and was organised by the BNP's Palash Upazila unit and its affiliated organisations.
During his speech, Moyeen said that their struggle is not over yet.
"Removing an autocratic regime was only the first step in our movement. That has been achieved. But we have yet to rebuild Bangladesh through a truly democratic process. We still face challenges, and we must overcome them," he said.
Speaking about the July uprising, he said, "It was an intellectual movement. Students took to the streets to demand a merit-based system in the country. Eventually, the movement evolved into a one-point demand for the removal of the regime. Confronted by the student and public, the autocratic government was forced to flee. BNP leaders and activists were a major force in that movement."
Emphasising that the people have long struggled to restore democracy in Bangladesh, the senior BNP leader said, "We want free and fair elections through which voters can choose their representatives to parliament. We do politics for the people — not for power."
The discussion was presided over by Palash Upazila BNP President Abdus Salam.
