Some recommendations of Women's Affairs Reform Commission will destroy values of all religions: Jamaat ameer
Shafiqur says the people of Bangladesh will reject the recommendations

Some recommendations made by the Women's Affairs Reform Commission will destroy values of all religions, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman said today (20 April).
In a statement posted on the party's Facebook page, he said the people of Bangladesh will reject the recommendations.
The Women's Affairs Reform Commission yesterday submitted its report to the chief adviser, containing 433 recommendations, grouped under 15 thematic areas.
In his statement, Shafiqur said, "Surprised to see their recommendation report! When various social and family problems are arising in the country due to lack of morality, instead of restoring social order based on moral and religious values, some disgusting issues have been brought in the said recommendations, which will push the society towards uncertainty and extreme instability."
"Some of the recommendations are clear violations of the Quran and Hadith," the Jamaat ameer added.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary General Mia Golam Parwar said the recommendations of the Women's Affairs Reform Commission are a well-planned attack on the existence of Islam and the Muslim identity, being directly contradictory to the Holy Quran.
In a statement, he said a deep conspiracy was underway to destroy the religious balance, family structure and social stability of the country through the proposals the commission made yesterday.
He demanded the immediate cancellation of the "unacceptable and controversial" recommendations on women's issues.
He further said the report was not in line with the religious beliefs of Islam and Muslims.
Earlier today, Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh, too, demanded the abolition of the Women's Affairs Reform Commission.
They also said the recommendations contain "objectionable" references to religious laws, particularly Islamic inheritance and family laws, labelling them as sources of discrimination against women.
