Jamaat Ameer visits grave of Rezaul Karim
Shafiqur arrived in Sherpur at 9am via a private helicopter from Dhaka airport.
Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Shafiqur Rahman paid a solemn tribute to the late Hafiz Maulana Rezaul Karim, who was killed in a clash between BNP and Jamaat on 28 January, by visiting his grave and meeting with his family today (1 February) in Sherpur district.
Shafiqur arrived in Sherpur at 9am via a private helicopter from Dhaka airport. Upon arrival, he proceeded directly to the home of the martyr's family in the Shreebordhi upazila.
During his visit, Shafiqur offered his heartfelt condolences, inquired about the family's well-being, and provided words of comfort, praying to Allah for patience and strength during this difficult time.
In a poignant moment, he lifted the three-year-old daughter of the late Hafiz Maulana Rezaul Karim in his arms, visibly moved by the child's innocence.
Following this, Shafiqur, accompanied by Jamaat-e-Islami leaders and activists, visited the martyr's grave. The group offered prayers for the forgiveness of Maulana Rezaul Karim's soul and sought divine acceptance for his martyrdom.
Central Executive Council Member and Mymensingh Regional Director Samiul Haque Faruqi, Central Executive Council Member Manjurul Islam Bhuiyan, as well as a large number of Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir leaders, workers, and local villagers were also present on the occasion.
