Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today (20 May) greeted the Bangladesh national cricket team for whitewashing Pakistan in the two-match Test series.
"The Prime Minister extended his heartfelt greetings and thanks to the players, coaching staff and all concerned of the Bangladesh team," reads a congratulatory message issued by the Prime Minister's Press Wing.
He hopes Bangladesh's success in international cricket will continue and inspire the younger generation to become more interested in sports.

Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 78 runs in the second Test in Sylhet today to seal the two-match series 2-0.
With the series whitewash, Bangladesh also moved up to fifth place in the World Test Championship points table, overtaking India.
Earlier, Bangladesh had won the first Test in Mirpur by 104 runs.
