Pakistan envoy meets foreign adviser, discusses bilateral issues
The foreign adviser assured the high commissioner of all possible cooperation during his tenure in Bangladesh

High Commissioner of Pakistan to Bangladesh Imran Haider paid his maiden courtesy call on Foreign Adviser Md Touhid Hossain at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today (23 October).
During the meeting, they also discussed various bilateral issues and the importance of strengthening collaboration across multiple sectors, reads a press release.
The both sides noted with appreciation the recent engagements and exchange of high-level ministerial visits between the two countries, including the visit of the Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to Bangladesh in August 2025, the successful holding of the 6th Foreign Secretary–level Bilateral Consultations in Dhaka in April 2025. Both sides further welcomed the forthcoming 9th meeting of the Joint Economic Commission, scheduled to be held in Dhaka on 27 October, after a considerable gap.
The foreign adviser expressed his satisfaction that the two countries have recently made progress in several areas of cooperation, including the simplification of visa procedures and resumption of air connectivity.
He assured the high commissioner of all possible cooperation during his tenure in Bangladesh.
