Objections from various groups force cancellation of Sharat Utsab at 2 separate venues
No details were available about who raised the objections or what they were about.

The Sharat Utsab organised by Satyen Sen Shilpigoshthi has been cancelled at two separate venues due to "objections" from various quarters.
As in previous years, the cultural group had initially planned to hold the festival under the bakul trees of the Faculty of Fine Arts at Dhaka University today (10 October).
However, it was cancelled following objections reportedly raised by another group. No details were available about who raised the objections or what they were about.
Later, an alternative arrangement was made on the Kachi-Kanchar Mela premises in Gandaria, but that too was called off amid fears of unrest.
In the end, participants wrapped up the event by performing songs and singing the national anthem on their own initiative.
Expressing frustration, Satyen Sen Shilpigoshthi General Secretary Manjar Chowdhury Sweet said the Sharat Utsab, which has been held for about 19 years, is not a political event.
"Certain upstart organisations are trying to monopolise cultural events through various conspiracies. But nature will respond to them in its own way," he added.
