New IGP pays tribute to martyred police at Rajarbagh Memorial

The newly appointed Inspector General of Police (IGP) today paid solemn tribute to the martyred police personnel of the Liberation War by placing a wreath at the Police Memorial at Rajarbagh Police Lines.
The homage was paid at 10am at the historic Rajarbagh Police Lines today (26 February), where police members made the first armed resistance against the Pakistani occupation forces on the night of 25 March 1971, said a press release of Police Headquarters.

Senior police officials, including high-ranking officers from police headquarters and other units, were present at the ceremony.
The tribute marks a reaffirmation of the force's commitment to upholding the ideals of the Liberation War and serving the nation with dedication and integrity.
