New cabinet committee formed on fertiliser issues
The committee, which will come into effect immediately, has been formed by Minister for Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare Professor Dr Abu Zafar Mohammad Zahid Hossain as its convener.
The government has formed cabinet committee on the fertiliser affairs aimed at enhancing cooperation to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).
A gazette notification, signed by additional secretary of the cabinet division M Humayun Kabir, is issued with the order of President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir today (25 August).
The committee, which will come into effect immediately, has been formed by Minister for Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare Professor Dr Abu Zafar Mohammad Zahid Hossain as its convener.

The other members of the committee are Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu and State Minister for Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Mir Shahe Alam.
"The committee will provide necessary advice to the agriculture ministry after monitoring the nation-wide fertilizer collection, distribution and dealer appointment activities. The ministry will provide secretarial support to the committee", said the gazette notification.
