NCP's suspended leader Salahuddin Tanvir barred from leaving country
Senior Special Judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the orders following two separate petitions submitted by the ACC

A Dhaka court today (27 May) imposed a travel ban on Gazi Salahuddin Tanvir, who was relieved from the post of joint member secretary of the National Citizen Party (NCP), as an investigation is going on against him on graft charges.
The court also instructed the authorities concerned to block his National Identity (NID) for the sake of investigation.
Senior Special Judge of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the orders following two separate petitions submitted by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Deputy Director (DD) Public Relations at the ACC headquarters Aktarul Islam disclosed the information to the journalists.
The ACC in its petition alleged that an inquiry against Gazi Salahuddin Tanvir has remained pending for his alleged involvement in acquiring hundreds of crores of money by misusing power, negotiations, extortion, tender manipulation and corruption and irregularities.
The ACC officials came to know that the accused may leave the country to avoid investigation against him, so that a travel ban should be imposed on him and his NID should be blocked immediately.
Earlier, on 21 April, Gazi Salah Uddin Tanvir was relieved from the post of Joint Member Secretary of NCP following allegations of corruption against him.
