Moving microbus catches fire at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar
The fire was successfully extinguished by 7:25pm
A moving microbus caught fire in the capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar tonight (14 February).
The incident took place around 7pm in front of Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital.
Confirming the matter, Khaleda Yasmin, duty officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters control room, said they received the emergency call and immediately dispatched two units from the Mohammadpur Fire Station.
"The fire was successfully extinguished by 7:25pm," he added.
Mohammadpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mezbah Uddin said, "The fire originated due to a mechanical fault in the vehicle. No one was injured in the incident."
