Fire at Chittagong Shopping Complex completely extinguished
The firefighting units are currently working intensely to extinguish the flames
A fire broke out at the Chittagong Shopping Complex in Chattogram's 2 No Gate area this morning (11 April), with five firefighting units on scene trying to get the blaze under control.
According to the Chattogram fire control centre, the fire was reported at approximately 9:45am.
Upon receiving the information, five units were immediately dispatched to the scene.
The local fire service control centre said that the fire was brought under control at 11:15am, after an hour and a half of efforts. Later, the fire was completely extinguished in stages.
Chattogram fire service Assistant Director Anwar Hossain told The Business Standard that the specific cause of the fire and the extent of the damage will be known after an investigation.
Initially, no casualties have been reported.
However, the fire spread panic in the area for some time.
