Mohammed Irad Ali elected president of Italy-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry

Prominent industrialist and hospitality entrepreneur Mohammed Irad Ali has been elected President of the Italy-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IBCCI), initiating in a new era of leadership aimed at deepening economic ties between the two nations says a press release.
Irad Ali is widely known as the Owner and Deputy Managing Director of Hotel Agrabad; one of Chattogram's most iconic hospitality establishments. He also holds the position of Deputy Managing Director at Intraco Group of Companies; A leading Bangladesh's largest conglomerates with diversified interests in power and energy, real estate, amusement parks, refueling stations and the hospitality sector.
With over 15 years of experience in business leadership; Irad Ali currently serves as the President and CEO of Genetica Industries Ltd., A and I Ltd. and A and I Food and Beverage. Since joining his family business in 2010, he has successfully overseen the expansion and diversification of several business units, demonstrating a Visionary Thinking for sustainable growth and strategic innovation.
Beyond his corporate achievements, Irad Ali has been an active contributor to Bangladesh's broader business community. He has held several key positions, including Director of the Indonesia-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Korea-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Bangladesh-Bhutan-India-Nepal (BBIN) Tourism Forum.
He is also serving as a Director of the World Tourism Network Bangladesh and is affiliated with a number of national institutions, including the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) and the Bangladesh International Hotel Association (BIHA). His social and civic engagements are equally notable.
He is a member of Uttara Club Ltd. in Dhaka, Shahin Golf Club in Chattogram, and a life member of the Red Crescent Society, Ma-O-Shishu Hospital and Anjuman-E-Mafidul Islam Rogi Kallyan Samity.
Irad Ali's academic background includes a Diploma in Information Technology from the University of Canberra, Australia and is an alumnus of the National Defense College (NDC) and completed the Capstone Course 2024/1.
