Mirpur fire: Health adviser mourns, Social welfare adviser visits site
The fire broke out yesterday (14 October) from an illegal chemical warehouse in the Shialbari area, swept through an adjacent multistorey building housing a garment factory, killing at least 16 people

Health and Family Welfare Ministry adviser Nurjahan Begum mourned the deaths of at least 16 people in a fire at a chemical warehouse in Shialbari area in Mirpur yesterday (14 October).
She prayed for the departed souls and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved families. She also instructed authorities to provide proper treatment to the injured at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, burn institute, and other hospitals.
Social Welfare Adviser Sharmeen Murshid visited the site of the fire today (15 October).
