SSC, equivalent results won't be published on 20 July: Dhaka board chairman
Dhaka Education Board Chairman Syed Akhtaruzzaman today said various administrative complexities related to HSC examinations had prevented the boards from completing the work on time.
The results of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will not be published on Monday (20 July) as previously expected due to delays in completing the result preparation process, Dhaka Education Board Chairman Professor Syed Akhtaruzzaman said.
Professor Akhtaruzzaman, who is also president of the Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee, today (18 July) said various administrative complexities related to the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations had prevented the boards from completing the work on time.
"It is not possible to publish the results on 20 July. Due to various complexities regarding the HSC examinations, we could not complete the result preparation work within the stipulated time. However, we are making final preparations to publish the results towards the end of this month," he said.
He said the Ministry of Education had instructed the education boards to complete preparations for publishing the results by 20 July.
However, it was not possible to meet that deadline under the prevailing circumstances.
He added that officials of the education boards were working to complete the remaining preparations as quickly as possible.
Earlier, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milan had expressed hope at several events that the SSC and equivalent results would be published by 20 July.
The Ministry of Education had also issued the necessary directives to the education boards accordingly.
However, under the latest decision, the results will not be published on Monday.
According to education board sources, work is continuing to complete the remaining preparations.
Subject to the prime minister's schedule and approval from the Ministry of Education, the results may be published on any day during the last week of July.
