Main Eid congregation to be held at Nat'l Eidgah at 8:30am
Depending on the sighting of the moon, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be celebrated on 31 March or 1 April

The main congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr will be held at the National Eidgah on the High Court premises at 8:30am on the Eid day.
However, if weather remains unfavourable or the main congregation is not held at the National Eidgah for any other reason the main congregation will be held at 9:00am at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
The decision was taken at an inter-ministerial meeting on Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations headed by Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain at the Secretariat today (29 March).
A committee comprising representatives from Cabinet Division, Islamic Foundation, SSF, DMP commissioner, Meteorological Department, SPARRSO and Information and Broadcasting Ministry will be formed with Dhaka Divisional Commissioner to take an immediate decision on shifting the main congregation of Eid to Baitul Mukarram Mosque in case of inclement weather.
The first queue of the main congregation will be longer than last year so that the VIPs can stand in the first row.
Depending on the sighting of the moon, the holy Eid-ul-Fitr is expected to be celebrated on 31 March or 1 April.
DSCC completes preparations for Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at National Eidgah
Meanwhile, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has completed all preparations for the main Eid-ul-Fitr congregation at the National Eidgah ground.
At a press briefing at the National Eidgah, Administrator of DSCC Md Shahjahan Mia said the venue is ready to accommodate approximately 35,000 Muslim devotees.
To ensure a smooth and secure congregation, law enforcement agencies, including police and Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) will be deployed around the venue, he said.
Special security measures have been put in place, and necessary facilities have been arranged for the convenience of Muslim devotees.
Emergency medical services will also be available, with medical teams and ambulances on standby to address any health emergencies during the congregation.
In case of rain or unfavorable weather, alternative arrangements have been made to facilitate prayers.
Besides, a second Eid congregation has been scheduled at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 9am.
"We have completed all necessary arrangements to ensure that people can perform their Eid prayers comfortably and safely," said the DSCC administrator, urging Dhaka residents to join the main congregation.
