Mahbub Anam warns against irregularities in family card and farmer card distribution
The minister emphasised strengthening the anti-drug drive to allow people to live safely
Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Minister Fakir Mahbub Anam, MP, has said no irregularities, corruption, or nepotism will be allowed in distributing family cards and farmer cards.
The minister, also in charge of the Ministry of Science and Technology, said this in a meeting og views exchange at Modhupur Upazila Parishad meeting room here today (28 February).
He said as per the pledge of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, the government will distribute family cards and farmer cards soon to provide subsidies, incentives and daily essentials among the poor.
Fakir Mahbub Anam called upon all concerned to work together in coordination with the administration to fulfil the expectations of the people. He sought everyone's cooperation in implementing the Prime Minister's plan.
Noting that the cooperation of the administration is very important in running a people-friendly government, he requested the government officials to listen to the people patiently and take action to meet their necessities.
The minister emphasised strengthening the anti-drug drive to allow people to live safely. He also said the local administration must be more vigilant to protect the young generation from drug abuse and internet-based crimes, especially online gambling.
The minister expressed his firm resolve to develop Tangail as a model district through mutual cooperation by ensuring transparency, accountability and ethics.
Earlier, Mahbub Anam inaugurated the construction of an RCC road from Sathir Mor on the Tangail-Mymensingh road to Tutul Traders at Sathir Mor in Madhupur town.
