Madrasa education system important for current success and future liberation: IAB VC

Vice Chancellor of Islamic Arabic University, Professor Dr Shamsul Alam, said that the importance of the madrasa education system for success in this world and liberation in the hereafter is immense.
The madrasa education system is a modern, practical, religious, and moral combined system. He said these things in his speech as the chief guest at the inauguration of the 19-day training workshop titled "Academic, Administrative and Financial Management Development Training-2025" organized by the Islamic Arabic University for madrasa principals at the university auditorium today (Saturday, 24 May 2025).
The university's Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Muhammad Abu Zafar Khan, Treasurer ASM Mamunur Rahman Khalili, and Dean of the Curriculum Development and Evaluation Centre, Professor Dr Muhammad Shazaat Ullah Farooqui, spoke as special guests at the workshop.
Professor Dr. Mohammad Ali Ullah, Dean of the University's Kamil (Postgraduate) Education, Training, and Research Centre, presided over the workshop.
In his speech as the chief guest, the Vice Chancellor addressed the madrasa principals and said, "Your main task is to conduct classes and teaching activities properly in the madrasas and to create talented and dynamic manpower who can lead the country, nation, and Ummah righteously." He urged the principals present to work tirelessly to produce qualified scholars who can contribute to the country's development.
He said, "If good scholars emerge from madrasas, this will be the success of all our work." He expressed hope that principals will increase institutional efficiency by taking training from such workshops and ensuring transparency in madrasas' administrative, academic, and financial management.
The Islamic Arabic University Registrar, MD, moderated the meeting. Ayub Hossain. Among others present at the workshop's inaugural ceremony were the Finance and Accounting Department Director, Mosabbir Mohammad Musa, and the Planning and Development Department Director, Professor Dr Md. Rafiq Al Mamun. Honourable principals of Kamil Madrasa from different countries will participate in this workshop in phases.
