The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has released the third part of the final list of heroic freedom fighters.

The names of 12,116 freedom fighters from 388 upazilas in 8 divisions have been registered and published.

The list can be found on the ministry's website (www.molwa.gov.bd), said a press release issued on Monday.

According to the press release, the list includes 3,459 freedom fighters from Dhaka division, 2,347 from Chittagong division, 1,180 from Barisal division, 2,290 from Khulna division, 333 from Mymensingh division, 1,437 from Rajshahi division, 768 from Rangpur division, and 275 from Sylhet division.

It should be noted that the list has not been published in the unauthorised civilian gazette of the National Freedom Fighter's Council (NFFC). The list will be published in NFFC's gazette once it is formally authorised.

Earlier, on 25 March, the ministry released the first installment of the final list of 1,47,537 heroic freedom fighters, and a list of 6,988 heroic freedom fighters in a second release on 6 May.
