The programme is scheduled to begin at 10:30am
The Women's Wing of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami (Mohila Bibhag) will hold a rally at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on January 31 to protest incidents of harassment and violence against women during election campaigns across the country.
The programme is scheduled to begin at 10:30am, according to a post shared on the party's official Facebook page.
Jamaat said the rally is being organised to protest what it described as the mistreatment of respectable women during ongoing election campaigns in different parts of the country.
The party added that the programme, organised under the initiative of Jamaat's Women's Wing, aims to condemn such incidents and raise public awareness against harassment and violence targeting women during the election period.
