Inquilab Mancha, a non-political cultural organisation comprising former and current students of Dhaka University (DU), staged a sit-in outside the residence of the chief justice today (22 December) to press for their three-point demand, including ensuring the safety of the July fighters.
A group of leaders and activists from Inquilab Mancha gathered in front of the National Museum in Dhaka's Shahbag area and held a brief rally around noon.

Following the rally, they brought out a protest procession that marched towards Kakrail Mosque and Matsya Bhaban.
Police intervened as the protesters attempted to proceed to the chief justice's residence.
Sharif Osman Bin Hadi, spokesperson for Inquilab Mancha, presented their three-point demands, which include the immediate cancellation of the Awami League's registration, protecting patriotic students and citizens from alleged secret killings attributed to the Awami League, and arresting all individuals involved in criminal activities within Awami League committees, from the central to the union level.
Additionally, they called for full security measures to be ensured for all participants of the July-August uprising.
Despite police obstruction, the protesters staged a sit-in on a one-way road in front of the chief justice's residence, vowing not to leave until their memorandum was accepted.
