Bangladesh condemns Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia
Dhaka expresses solidarity with Riyadh after strikes on civilian infrastructure, including airports, kill three people.
Bangladesh has strongly condemned recent Houthi attacks on civilian infrastructure in Saudi Arabia, including airports, saying the strikes violate international law, threaten innocent lives and undermine regional stability.
In a statement today (9 October), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said Bangladesh stood in full solidarity with the government and people of Saudi Arabia and called for an immediate end to the attacks.
The condemnation came after yesterday's attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh killed three Saudi nationals, including a pilot of national carrier Saudia, and injured several others, according to Saudi authorities.

The strikes also damaged a Saudia aircraft, while airport operations were temporarily disrupted. Saudi authorities later said air traffic had returned to normal.
The attacks came amid an escalation in the conflict involving Yemen's Iran-aligned Houthi group and Saudi Arabia, which has intensified following the wider US-Iran conflict.
The Houthis claimed responsibility for attacking Riyadh airport with two cruise missiles. They also claimed to have targeted an airport in the southwestern city of Najran and an airbase in Khamis Mushait, though Saudi authorities have not confirmed those claims.
Saudi-led coalition forces supporting Yemen's internationally recognised government said they had destroyed three missile launch platforms used by the Houthis and warned of a firm response to attacks on civilians.
Saudi airstrikes also hit Houthi targets in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, overnight, according to Houthi officials and affiliated media.
