PM to open Bangabandhu Tunnel, 8 other projects in Ctg on 28 Oct
The premier will also lay the foundation stone of three projects in the port city that day during her visit

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will inaugurate the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel in Chattogram on Saturday along with eight other projects under implementation in the port city, Chattogram District Commissioner Abul Bashar Mohammed Fakhruzzaman said on Wedesday (25 October).
The premier will also lay the foundation stone of three projects in the port city that day during her visit, he told The Business Standard.
"Several development projects are being implemented in Chattogram. Some of these projects have been completed; some are in the final stages. The prime minister will inaugurate some of them on 28 October," DC Abul Bashar said.
Among the projects, Tk10,689 crore has been spent on the construction of the Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Tunnel; Tk444 crore has been spent on the remaining eight projects.
The projects are: Chattogram Muslim Institute Cultural Complex built (Tk281.39 crore), Chattogram Zilla Parishad Tower (Tk81.30 crore), Rangunia Zilla Parishad Dak Bungalow (Tk1.64 crore), Anwara Zila Parishad Dak Bungalow (Tk2 crore), Patia Sheikh Kamal Auditorium cum Multipurpose Hall (Tk20.13 crore), Raujan Upazila Sheikh Kamal Complex (Tk7.31 crore), Bangabandhu Mural at the Chattogram airport intersection (Tk84 lakh), a 390.40-metre long PC Girder Bridge on the Shikalbaha Canal in Patia (Tk45.26 crore).
Five of these projects are fully completed while the remaining three projects are 80-87% done.
During her visit to Chattogram, the premier will lay foundation stones for the Liberation War Memorial and Museum, Jannetri Sheikh Hasina Road from the Chattogram airport to Bangabandhu Tunnel and Siemens Hostel Complex Building
