Housing ministry orders full audit of Rajuk's 16-year financial records
The audit is to be completed within three months.

The Ministry of Housing and Public Works has ordered a full audit of the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (Rajuk)'s financial records from 2009 to 2024.
The review will encompass all income and expenditure transactions, including the allocation and handover of plots and flats, the ministry said in a statement today.
The audit is to be completed within three months.
This directive, issued in the public interest, is grounded in the ministry's Internal Audit Directorate's Allocation of Functions, the officials' Charter of Duties, and a resolution passed by the ministry's Budget Management Committee (BMC) on 23 April, reads the statement.
The Internal Audit Directorate has been tasked with conducting the audit following a clear set of instructions.
The audit guidelines are as follows:
1. The Internal Audit Directorate will develop a detailed audit plan and execute the audit accordingly.
2. The audit must strictly adhere to the Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha Act and associated rules and regulations.
3. Prior to commencement, the Internal Audit Directorate must submit comprehensive details of the audit team members — including names, designations, and contact information—to the ministry.
4. Rajuk must be kept informed about the progress of the audit.
5. Upon conclusion within three months, the Internal Audit Directorate is required to present a comprehensive report to the secretary of the ministry.
