One dengue patient dies, 750 hospitalised in 24 hrs
The latest death was reported in Khulna Division.
One person died of dengue in Bangladesh in the last 24 hours, while 750 new patients were admitted to hospitals across the country during the same period.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued today (20 August) by the Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest death was reported from Khulna Division, according to the DGHS.
With the latest fatality, the number of dengue-related deaths in the country has reached 77 this year.
Meanwhile, 659 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries this year to 25,033.
The total number of dengue cases recorded in the country this year has risen to 27,022, according to the DGHS.
