July uprising: 60 more injured to be sent abroad for treatment

The interim government has so far facilitated advanced medical treatment abroad for 40 individuals injured during the July-August student-led mass uprising while arrangements are underway to send another 60 of them.
Of them, 8 will be sent to Bangkok and Singapore, 21 to Türkiye, and 31 to Pakistan, Health Adviser Noorjahan Begum said today ( 13 April) at a briefing in the Foreign Service Academy.
She also mentioned that Pakistan has specialised hospitals for treating those injured by mine explosions.
At the press conference, the adviser announced that those injured in the 2024 uprising would receive free medical treatment at all hospitals across the country by showing their health cards.
