Dengue: 5 more die, 1,484 hospitalised in 24 hours
Four of the latest deaths were reported in Dhaka North City Corporation and one in Rangpur Division.

Five dengue patients died and 1,484 new patients were hospitalised across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
The latest figures, released today (17 September), take the country's dengue death toll this year to 176, said the DGHS Health Emergency Operation Centre and Control Room.
Of the five deaths recorded during the latest 24-hour period, four were reported in Dhaka North City Corporation and one in Rangpur Division.

Meanwhile, 1,513 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals during the same period, taking the total number of recoveries this year to 54,092.
The cumulative number of dengue cases reported across the country has now reached 58,400.
