Govt employees to receive dearness allowance
Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration, Md Mokhles Ur Rahman has said government officials and employees will receive a dearness allowance.
Speaking at a press conference today (15 December) on the report of the Dearness Allowance and Deprivation Elimination Committee, Rahman said that employees on post-retirement leave will also be entitled to this allowance, marking a significant extension of the benefit.
Rahman further explained that the Finance Department has already constituted a committee to decide the percentage of the dearness allowance that will be provided to government employees.

Regarding percentage, he said that the committee will recommend the percentage to be given.
