Health services secretary transferred amid surge in Covid-19 cases
In a latest reshuffle in the administration, two secretaries have been transferred while three additional secretaries have been promoted

The government has transferred Health Services Division Secretary Asadul Islam to the Planning Division amid a worsening coronavirus situation in the country.
Meanwhile, Abdul Mannan, chairman (secretary) of the Land Reforms Board, has been made the new secretary to the Health Service Division.
Alongside the transfer of these two secretaries, three additional secretaries have been promoted to the post of secretary in the latest reshuffle in the administration.
The Public Administration Ministry issued separate gazette notifications in this regard on Thursday.
Mohammad Yeamin Chowdhury, divisional commissioner (additional secretary) of Barishal has been made secretary to the Department of Statistics and Information Management while Additional Secretary to the BCS Administration Academy, Dhaka Asia Khatun has been appointed as secretary to the Bangladesh Public Service Commission.
Meanwhile, Yeakub Ali Patwary, additional secretary to the Housing and Public Works Ministry has been made the chairman (secretary) of the Land Reform Board.
