Buet, Daffodil top among Bangladeshi universities in THE Asia Rankings
This recognition positions Buet and Daffodil among the leading higher education institutions in Asia

The Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) and Daffodil International University (DIU) have jointly secured the highest position among Bangladeshi institutions in the Times Higher Education (THE) Asia University Rankings 2025.
Both universities are placed in the 301–350 bracket in Asia.
The rankings, published yesterday (23 April) by the UK-based magazine Times Higher Education, evaluate universities based on research quality (30%), research environment (28%), teaching (24.5%), industry engagement (10%), and international outlook (7.5%).
This recognition positions Buet and DIU among the leading higher education institutions in the Asia region.
Other Bangladeshi universities featured in the rankings include Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agricultural University (BSMRAU), Jahangirnagar University (JU), and North South University (NSU) in the 351–400 bracket.
While institutions in the 401+ bracket include Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU), Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (Cuet), Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST), Khulna University of Science and Technology (Kuet), University of Dhaka (DU), University of Rajshahi (RU), BRAC University, and others.
This achievement reflects DIU's strong position in research innovation, academic excellence, global engagement, and commitment to sustainable development.
According to the DIU authorities, this recognition adds a new dimension to the university's consistent record of international achievements and sets a powerful example for Bangladesh's higher education sector on the global stage.
