German aviation firm Aerodata AG has expressed keen interest in providing airport calibration services in Bangladesh, signalling potential technical collaboration in the country's aviation sector.
The issue was highlighted during a courtesy meeting between Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister Afroz Khanam and German Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Rudiger Lotz, at the Bangladesh Secretariat today, read a press release from the ministry.
State Minister M Rashiduzzaman Millat was also present.
During the discussion, Ambassador Lotz mentioned that German firm Aerodata AG is interested in offering airport calibration services in Bangladesh.
These services are essential for ensuring the precision and reliability of critical navigation systems, including instrument landing systems (ILS), radar, and communication equipment—key components for safe aircraft operations.
The Bangladesh side sought German support for the country's aviation growth, and Germany assured their continuous cooperation.
