Former member of parliament for Barishal-5 constituency Jebunnesa Afroz, who was earlier arrested in a murder case in Dhaka, has now been shown arrested in a explosives case filed in Barishal and sent to jail following a court order.

Barishal Additional Metropolitan Magistrate Court Judge Habibur Rahman passed the order this afternoon (26 May), after rejecting her bail petition.

Confirming the matter, Barishal's Kotwali Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mizanur Rahman said the explosives case was filed by Marjuk Abdullah, a suspended district leader of the Students Against Discrimination.
