Fire at commercial building in Purana Paltan brought under control

A fire broke out on the 9th floor of a 10-storey commercial building in the capital's Purana Paltan area this afternoon (22 November).
According to the Fire Service and Civil Defence, five units from the Siddikbazar Fire Station were deployed to douse the blaze. The fire was brought under control at around 3:30pm.
The alarm was received at 3:04pm, and the first unit reached the scene at 3:14pm, said fire service.
No casualties have been reported so far.
